James Ryan Bergey, Jr. , CPA

James Ryan Bergey, Jr  “J” is the founder and primary partner of Bergey & Company, P.A.  J earned his A.S. Degree in Accounting from Brandywine College in Delaware and then went onto receive his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Delaware. Following this he passed the CPA exam. J founded Bergey & Company in 2000.

J has obtained over the minimum requirement of forty hours of continuing education credits for each year from 1980 to present. He has attended New York University Tax Institute which consists of over forty hours of intense, high-level strategies in taxation, estate planning, partnership, corporation, and personal tax planning.

J is a member of Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. J is a Director of Calvin B. Taylor banking company, serves on the Board of Directors and Finance Committee of Atlantic General Hospital and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore.

Amanda Kiesewetter, CPA

Amanda is a Partner at Bergey & Company, P.A. She is a  Certified Public Accountant who was a top ten scorer in the State of Maryland on her CPA exam. After receiving her B.A. degree from Salisbury University and graduating Summa Cumm Laude she went on to complete the professional accounting studies program also at Salisbury University.

Amanda is a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Society of Accountants. Amanda has experience in preparation of federal and state tax returns for corporations, partnerships and individuals as well as performing audits. She also specializes in tax planning, estate taxation, small business and accounting system consulting and review and compilation services.

Erik Quisgard, CPA

Erik is a Manager at Bergey & Company, P.A. He earned his B.S. in Accounting from Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD.

Erik is a member of the MSA and MACPA. He has served as Treasurer for the Synepuxent Rod and Gun club and currently serves on the Berlin Utility Commission.

James Ryan Bergey, III “Ryan” is a Supervisor at Bergey & Company, P.A. and a Certified Public Accountant.  Ryan was enrolled in the honors program and earned a  B.S. in Accounting and a B.S. in Finance  from University of Maryland at College Park.

Ryan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Society of Accountants. He serves as a council member on the Delmarva Council Boy Scouts of America.

Ioana Oancea

Ioana is a Senior staff accountant at Bergey & Company, P.A. She earned her BS in Accounting and Management IT in Romania from Babes Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. After moving to the Eastern Shore she completed her Masters in Business and Administration at Salisbury University.

Ioana specializes in tax preparation, and business plans. She also speaks Romanian, Spanish, Italian, German and English.
